Mid-term October 15, 2009

Posted by ammerahsaidi in Uncategorized.

Tomorrow you will all be taking your mid-term.  As you’ve been told in class, it will focus on everything we’ve learned in class so far.  Any questions that deal with stories or topics we have not discussed will be left blank on your scantrons.

To Review: Notes on the elements of fiction, the parts of speech, and review the stories “Casey at the Bat” and “The Cask of Amontillado” for the elements of fiction (meaning identify the characters, the setting, theme, etc).

1st, 2nd, and 5th hour: Remember that your TYPED final drafts are due with each of your rough drafts and your outline on Monday.  Your final will be worth 25 points.  Your rough packet will be worth 10 points.  This is a summative grade.  No excuses on Monday will be accepted.  Type and print it before you enter my classroom or you will lose 5 points for every day it’s late–and yes, if you turn it in Monday after your period is over, it will be counted as late.

Your finals will be graded on the objectives we shared on Monday: Focus, Format, and Organization of Main Ideas.

All Classes: Make sure to check Parent-Connect for your grades.  I’ve updated them today.  Also, make sure to post all your questions under your hours tabs.  Each class has its own tab above.
